There are millions of known species of animals. Though we can identify them with their names, but most of the times when they appear in groups, we do not know the names to call these animals. We find their collective group names difficult to mention, or we absolutely do not know what the group names of the animals are.

Apes: Group of Apes is called Shrewdness. There are five different types of Apes but all are collectively referred to as Shrewdness when seen in groups. 

Butterflies: Group of butterflies is called Kaleidoscope. Butterfly symbolizes beauty. Imagine seeing them in groups.

Badgers: A group of badgers is called a cete

Bats: A group of bats is called a colony, cloud or camp

Bears: A group of bears is called a sloth or sleuth

Bees: A group of bees is called a swarm

Buffalo: A group of buffalos is called a gang or obstinacy

Cobras: Group of cobras is called a quiver. Group of cobra can be seen in thick forests near streams in hot tropical regions of Africa, Australia, South Asia e.t.c. They can be good swimmers.

Crows: A group of crows is called a murder

Dogs: A group of dogs is called a pack; Puppies: a litter

Eagles: Group of eagles is called Convocation.  You should never undermine their sight. They could sight preys as far as 2 miles away.

Elephants: A group of elephants is called a  parade

Elk: A group of elks is called a gang or a herd

Foxes: Group of fox is called a charm. They are the only type of dog that is capable of retracting their claws like cats do.

Falcons: A group of falcons is called a cast

Ferrets: A group of ferrets is called a business.

Fish: A group of fish is called a school.

Flamingos: A group of flamingos is called a stand

Foxes: A group of foxes is called a skulk or leash

Frogs: A group of frogs is called an army

Giraffes; A group of giraffes is called a tower. Being the tallest mammal, spend most of their life standing up; they even give birth while standing.

Geese: A group of geese is called a gaggle

Jellyfish; Group of jellyfish is called Smack. They live both in an ocean and freshwater.

Jaguars: A group of jaguars is called a shadow

Kangaroo: Group of Kangaroos is called Mob. The only large animals that uses hopping as means of locomotion

Larks: Group of Larks is called an Exaltation. 

Lemurs: A group of lemurs is called a conspiracy

Leopards: A group of leopards is called a leap

Lions: A group of lion is called a pride

Monkeys: Group of Monkeys is called Troop. Do not be surprised they have fingerprints like human too.

Moles: A group of moles is called a labor

Mules: A group of mules is called a pack

Nightingales: Group of Nightingales is a Watch. 

Otters: Group of Otters is called Raft. Sea Otters can stay underwater for 5 minutes holding their breath.

Oxen: A group of Oxens is called a team or yoke

Owls: A group of owls is called a parliament

Peacock: Group of peacocks is called Ostentation. 

Parrots: A group of parrots is called a pandemonium

Pigs: A group of pigs is called a drift or drove (younger pigs), or a sounder or team (older pigs)

Porcupines: A group of porcupines is called a prickle

Quails: Group of Quails is called Covey. They are mostly used for environmental toxicity testing because they eat various kinds of seeds, insects.

Ravens: Group of Quails is called Unkindness. It’s quite surprising that Ravens can imitate human speech and are one the smartest animals.

Rabbits: A group of rabbits is called a herd

Rats: A group of rats is called a colony

Rhinoceroses: A group of rhinoceros is called a crash

Shark: Group of Sharks is called Shiver. 

Skunk: A group of skunk is called a stench

Snakes: A group of snakes is called a nest

Squirrels: A group of squirrels is called a dray or scurry

Stingrays: A group of stingrays is called a fever

Swans: A group of swans is called a bevy or game (if in flight: a wedge)

Squid: A group of squids is called a squad

Tortoise: Group of Tortoise is called Creep. They can live to be over 150 years old.

Tigers: A group of tigers is called an ambush or streak

Toads: A group of toads is called a knot

Turkeys: A group of turkeys is called a  gang or rafter

Turtles: A group of turtles is called a bale or nest

Unicorn: Group of Unicorns is called Blessing.  They are born with male and female genitalia which is one of their unique characteristics.

Vultures: Group of Vultures is called Wake. 

Woodpeckers: Group of Woodpeckers is called Descent. They drum, this helps to raise an alarm about a predator sighted from a distance or a prey. That is their major means of communication.

Weasels: A group of weasels is called a colony, gang or pack

Whales: A group of whales is called a pod, school, or gam

Wolves: A group of wolves is called a pack

X-Ray Fish: Groups of X-Ray fish is called a School

Yuma Myotis: Group of Yuma Myotis is called Cloud

Zebra: Group of Zebra is called Zeal. They are capable of mating with a horse to produce a Zorse or Hebra depending on the dominant parent.
